It's not easy to describe contemporary music. Those that claim that music has become just an product of industry, a predictible template print, I have to mark as pesimists. Because... how can we not discover so many artists that, using the present moment and the possibilities of modern communications! and technology, are creating new and exciting musical forms. And if we notice the love for the music of old masters (of jazz, soul, funk, etc.) and their influence in these artists' music at the same time, then we can expect releases full of emotions and soul, thoughtful and original, but very often with unpredictible rhythm and shape. Koop, Jazzanova, St. Germain, dZihan & Kamien, The Roots, Bugz In The Attic... to name just a few of them.

That kind of music is a world of its own and in Migrations we are going to travel through that world. Whether it is broken beat (if it's broken, don't fix it!), soul, jazz, hiphop, downtempo, drum'n'bass, funk... we are going to be there!
